CPA Island Hosts Session with the AACSB

Accounting_education_conference_areDr. Michael Kraten of Suffolk University will present "Using Virtual Reality Technologies to Explore Worlds Beyond the Blackboard" at the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International Conference in St Petersburg, Florida. This session will be presented in a "mixed reality" format at our outdoor amphitheater on CPA Island 2 in Second Life. The event will be held Monday, June 30 from 1:30pm - 3:00pm (EST) or 10:30 am - Noon (SLT/PDT).

I attended this seminar. I enjoyed the basic introduction to Second Life. I hope you have more seminars for educators and CPAs with ideas on how we can implement Web 2.0 into our classes and into our accounting practices.

I also found it quite helpful to down load the slide show and view it on my other monitor (I have dual monitors) since, I really couldn't see the slide show during the presentation. The podium and speaker blocked the slides and they were small and a little blurry.
